Hannes Latzel specializes in international arbitration where he acts as party representative and secretary to arbitral tribunals.
During his time as a Legal Counsel at the Swiss Arbitration Centre, he administered more than 100 arbitration cases under the Swiss Rules. Before joining Gabriel Arbitration, Hannes worked for a major Swiss law firm in Zurich, mainly in the areas of white collar crime and cross-border litigation.
Hannes studied law at the University of Bern and at the University of Lucerne. In 2025, Hannes completed his doctorate with a dissertation on the issue of virtual hearings before arbitral tribunals seated in Switzerland. The dissertation was published by Schulthess in April 2026 (LBR No. 194).
